Work with us
Work at Aura
Two rooms on the Upper West Side. One yoga, one Pilates, both small on purpose. If you want to teach a room where you actually know everyone’s name, or be the first face people see when they walk in, start here.
Teach at Aura
Yoga · Mat Pilates · Sculpt · Barre
We’re always taking applications. Not always hiring, honestly, but always reading. When a slot opens that fits you, we reach out.

Front Desk at Aura
Evenings and weekend mornings
You’re the first face every member sees, and the person who helps someone pick the membership that actually fits. Honestly, half the job is sales. The other half is making people feel like they belong here.
Front desk applications aren’t on the site yet. Email us and we’ll take it from there.

Who we’re looking for
- You genuinely like people. That’s the job, not a bonus.
- You’re warm with everyone who walks in. The regular, the nervous first-timer, the one who’s five minutes late.
- You’ve done retail, sales or hospitality, and you can talk about what we offer without it sounding like a pitch.
- You’ll learn Momence and Google Sheets, and you can hold three things at once while the room is moving.
- You take class here. You can’t recommend a room you’ve never been in.
- You’re flexible when the schedule needs you.
The role
Teaching
Sculpt is the biggest part of our schedule. Around it: vinyasa, yin and restore, mat Pilates, barre. The rooms are small (15 mats in The Altar, 14 in The Atelier), and we run themed classes with ridiculous playlists, so tone and music genuinely matter here.
What we ask for:
- Current certification, who you trained with, and when it expires
- The formats you teach, and how many classes a week you actually want
- Where you’re teaching now, and the class size you’re used to
- A sample playlist
- Your weekly availability by day and time block
Why the class size and the playlist? Our rooms hold 14 and 15. Someone who’s brilliant in a room of 60 might teach a room of 14 at the wrong volume. That’s a fit thing, not a talent thing. And the playlist tells us if you read a room before you teach it.

The role
Front desk
This is a sales role that happens to live at a front desk. You welcome every member, help the undecided ones find the right membership, follow up with the “I’ll think about it” people, and how the studio does each month is partly on you.
Pay: hourly base plus commission on membership sales. Free classes while you’re on the team. W-2, like everyone here.
The work:
- Open the room: wipe down, light the candles, restock the wipes, prep the lavender towels
- Check people in and keep mat, towel and water purchases straight
- Talk to people about memberships and follow up on leads. This is real sales, and you’ll work alongside our Sales Manager
- Reset after class: weights away, vac and mop running, garbage out at the end of the shift
- Lock up
Front desk applications aren’t on the site yet. Email hello@aurastudionyc.com with your availability, whether you’ve hit a sales target before, and whether you’ve taken a class here.
